So I was watching Cartini Hospital, which I hear is much better than the drivel that I abandoned in 2010. I was impressd, and almost content that GH was potentially good enough to temporarily take the place of my daily OLTL break (until it is back in production). I was watching my 2 (but going on 30) year-old nephew at my sister's house. Because he and my 7-year-old daughter were in the room, I begrudgingly turned GH off, fearing that Sonny's bleeding gunshot wound or the still-shot of the yellow tarp over Robin's body would give them each nightmares. I waited until they were both distracted - getting snacks in the kitchen - and switched the TV back on. Then I saw something that haunted ME - a crawler on the screen that said that Connecticut Cox subscribers would no longer have access to WTNH, our local ABC affiliate, because of a contract dispute. Well, my sister doesn't have Cox, but I do! So today, I was diligently watching GH and tweeting away and I saw the same crawler at the time that I should have seen GH credits. Then there was a brief explanation (that explained nothing at all) and in it the affiliate came out smelling like a rose. It then said to check the affiliate's website and this is what I found: http://www.wtnh.com/dpp/about_us/retransmission/cox-communications-retransmission-dispute

What do you guys think? With all of our collective talk about affiliates and cable companies, I had to run this by the people that seem to know a lot more about media than I do. Thoughts? I smell mouse shit all over it.
